Radeon 9200 Issues
This card has functioned for almost 4 months without a glitch, but when a new game kept crashing even after patching, i downloaded the latest drivers from the ATI site. After installation my box gets restarted for testing, but only reaches the OS loading screen before my monitor switches itself to standby. I've tried changing the frequency in safe mode, but the only option available is "hardware default"
I've tried it with the old drivers uninstalled, and my virus protection off but nothing seems to allow me to install the new drivers.
I'm running XP pro, with service pack 1 installed, and directX is up to date (but not all directdraw tests pass for some reason) if that makes any difference.
Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated.

Instead of Safe Mode, select "Enable VGA Mode" and turn down the resolution and refresh rate.
You really need to uninstall old driver before applying new ones, BTW.

Tales of Woe
Nothing doing =(.
Had access to frequency settings in VGA mode, but the monitor was already at it's lowest setting, 60Hz. Changing this didn't seem to have any effect.
I just read in another thread that the Radeon 9200 SE is a bag of **** anyways. Am thinking of purchasing a new card, one that doesn't cause so many problems =/.
On the old drivers issue, i think you may be right. I reinstalled the new ones about 20-30 times and now i have corrupt files in my HD and even the original graphics drivers are non-functional.
Thanks for the welcome btw.
Nice to be here =D
