how can you determine the speed of your computer's bus? is there a program that shows you how what exactly the speed of your bus? I have SoftFSB but I dont know how to use it.

Which processor is it? You can tell the default bus speed from the type of processor.

Also, you can get the inof from SiSoft Sandra, a benchmark utility.

a PENTIUM 200 MMX I have a sissoft sandra but dont know where to access the bus speed there, and by the way what does the turbo switch do? is it ok for me to remove it?

P 200 runs on a 66MHz bus.

Not sure about the Turbo button.

Turbo buttons you see on older systems are used to lower the clock speed on processors. The turbo button should be on by default to run the processor at its default clock speed. The purpose of the "Turbo" button was to slow down DOS games that ran to fast. You won't find this feature on systems nowadays...
