Cant get in2 my bios setup

I dont no what to make of this 1, but i put my pc on today and as my pc was booting up pressed the delete key as ive done many times before and all i got was a black screen with a blue band at the bottom of the monitor and a blinking cursor in the top left hand side, its as if windows is still trying to boot up and for some reason cant

I have windows xp home, and last time i checked my bios it wasnt overclocked or nothing and all was running as it should have been

Is that the only problem? Does it boot normally into Windows if you are not trying to access the BIOS?

you never did say what motherboard you have.

You can access the bios through:

    Delete
    F1
    F2
    F8
    F12

Also don't hammer the key, or you may generate a keyboard read error. Do it while the bios is flashing.

This might sound like an odd question but, have you recently done something different with your fans?

i have an abit kg7 lite board, runnin window xp, and never had problem b4 gettin in2 the bios, and ive always used the delete key and it worked fine.

Ive only go in2 the bios now again just to check things are ok, that was just a fig or speech lol, sry

also ive done nothing to the fans on the case

and i dont bang the keys down just press it down as usual

I shall try those other keys and let u know what happens

    Thanks

Im back, well i tryed that pressing f1, f2, f8 and f12 and couldnt see anthing there about gettin into the bios, and pressed delete again aswell and still the same as first post as in pic,
pressin f keys just gave me options starting safe mode, command prompt and so oon.. u no the rest...

So any other ideas would be gr8 thanks alot
