What game can I get for Christmass?

    Hello everyone!

Christmass is coming up and I was wondering what good game should I get for PC. If anyone has any suggestions, I'll be happy to hear.

    Thank you.

Call of Duty is really good and not taxing on the system if you don't have the highest end rig. Deus Ex: Invisible War is great, but taxing and still has a few bugs to be worked out. Half Life 2 was SUPPOSED to have made it for the holiday season, but I haven't seen it yet. Otherwise I don't know what else to recommend at the moment.

I have Call Of Duty and it's awsome. But War Of the Ring is not my genre type.

I have played Deus Ex 1 and I got bored of it while completing the game. Half-Life 2 is coming out only in 2004 April .

Dont confuse War of the Rings with Return of the King... WOTR is pretty much a Warcraft3 skin..

ROTK is a very fun game to play (although I put it on hold until the movie comes out, due to the movie clips incorporated in the game!)

CoD is a sweet game and I can't wait till the expansions come out (no time soon as far as I've read )

Other games to consider would be HL2 and Condition Zero, although there due dates are still wobbly and you may want to get a rain check from Santa!!

condition zero is going to stank.
    and hl2 takes too long...
what i would recommend looking into is silent hill 3.
SCARY and not taxing AT ALL, at least to me.

now you all may be saying, "but tasty, you have a 9800, of course it's not taxing!"
however friends, even with ati's beast, few games will run at 1920x1440, 16xaf, 6xaa, and texture res. of 2048x1024.
oh yeah, it looks good and runs smooth as silk even at those settings.

this is how a console port should play!
im a huge fan of the silent hill series, always have been, makes resident evil look like girl scout camp.
however, if survival horror isn't your cup o' tea i have some other recommendations:
unreal 2 (very under-rated and a multiplayer pack hits shelves soon), rainbow six 3, halo (some do, some dont, still pretty fun game though), maxpayne 2, blackhawk down, and vietcong.
and be on the lookout for ut2004, dont know when it drops but i think it'll be great.
i so pretty yes i am... pretty pretty dancing

I think I'll get Silent Hill 3, because some of te game you listed I have and some of them are have a boring gameplay. Oh yeah, UT2004 is cool, but its coming out in spring . For Silent Hill 3 do you think the game is long enough , cause I don't wanna buy something that I will complete in 3 hours .

I'd also recommend "Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time". Gamerankings.com has an overall score from all of the rating sites giving it 93% even on the PC version. If you have a good controller, like the Saitek P2500 (available at Wal-Mart), it's awesome and plays just like a console. Amazing graphics, gameplay, fight scenes, and structure.

well, silent hill 3 isnt fast paced. ever played resident evil? it plays kind of like that but the game itself is just better.

if you think the first person shooters i listed are boring, then silent hill 3 probably isnt for you.
