    9700 pro , freezes

    i play counter-strike.

    when i am in game i cant push Esc or the windows key because my video card freezes. what can i do to fix this....

    also its not running too smoothly , whats a good way to tweek the card.

    Welcome to SysOpt MANGANIELLO:

    First check the Fan is spinning freely, then re-install the DirectX 9b driver, then update the catalyst driver to the newest version from ATi.com.

    I hope you don't have this thing overclocked because that would be an obvious reason for problems.

    this is a problem with the ati catalyst drivers you need to down load the latest

    9700pro by ati?

    9700pro's that are "built by ati" are known to have poor cooling due to lack of contact between the processor and heat sink. If your fan appears to be spinning fine and your card is built by ati this may be your problem. Does this happen on any other games that you have?
