Modem issues

Having a little issue with my dial-up modem. I have the correct drivers installed, and the modem shows up find in the device manager. Winfax detects it and is able to send/receive faxes with it. Hyperterminal also works... But netzero doesn't recognize it, and neither does network neighborhood when I try to setup a new connection. The option that says "Connect using a dial-up modem" is greyed out... I'm not sure how long its been like this, i just noticed it last night when I wanted to log onto netzero because my cable went down. Its back up now but i'd like to have this modem working for future needs. What could be the problem???

Try uninstalling the modem in Safe Mode (including anything for it in Add/Remove). Reboot and install the latest drivers.

I'll try that, but this is a brand new one that I got because I thought there was something wrong with my old one. It was doing the same thing. I'll give it a shot though and see what happens.
