    Memory banks

    I was wondering if anyone knows of a good tutorial on memory. I hav an old pentium dell and I was trying to fine tune it for a poor kid and give it for Christmas ,,,, I know it has more than 64 m mem. but its not showing up ,,,,, I just stuck some simms (4) in there ,,,, I dont remember any of the basics ,..... tnks

    Scott Muellers Building and Repairing PC's is a great book for learning that sort of thing. Latest edition is the 15th I believe. It is a bit spendy at $60 however, but I think it's worth it

    Your mobo manual should give you a guide for ram upgrades and the proper arrangement of the simms.
