    no sound when overclocking

    no sound when overclocking, mobo msi 845emax2 ram 512 ddr2100
    geforce 4 mx 440 gpu ,cpu intel 2.4g

    look in your bios and see what your PCI bus rate is. It should be right next to your CPU bus rate. For example:

    148/37

    The CPU bus is 148mhz, and the PCI bus is 37mhz. That's how it will probably look in your bios.

    Yup, you want the PCI bus set as close as possible to 33Mhz, anythign too far out of spec will cause sound and HDD problems

    on my p3 system my pci bus runs at 41MHz (AGP@82(savage died last week)) and all is fine...my mb only has a multiplier for 133 tho not 166 where i run it.
