    Flickering?

    ok, i installed some drivers for my monitor and for some reason when i play bf9142/desert combat it will keep flickeringmaking everything disapear except for the other player, kinda like a wall hack, qhy is it doing this? im still having problems with my screen going black after a period of time, some people say it overheats, need better power supply, could be dusty, not recognizing the monitor or video card. which is it?

    We need more help? What are you system specs? What processor, RAM, motherboard, Video card AND drivers you are running for the video card, OS, etc...

    768mb DDR
    75GB Hard Drive
    Windows XP home edition
    GeForce FX 5200 128mb AGP 4x
    Driver: 52.16

    i don't know what my motherboard is cause i really don't pay attention to all this stuff, cause all i want to do is play games. =D

    Try rolling back to an older video driver. Some are having problems playing games with those drivers. I've heard the v43.45 are good. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_archive.html. Good luck!

    do i just install new driver or do i have to go back and uninstall 52.16? if so, tell me how

    I would un-install your current driver first. Go into Device Manager (right-click My Computer Icon... Select Properties... Hardware tab... Device Manager)... Under Display adaptors... Right click your adaptor... Select Uninstall. Good luck!
