    need upgrades?

    My current machine:

    AthlonXP 2400+ w/Volcano 9 Cooler
    512MB PC2100 DDR
    ASUS A7V266-E w/RAID
    WD800EB 80GB ATA100/7200RPM
    WD200EB 20GB ATA100/5400RPM
    Leadtek Winfast A350 TDH (Geforce FX 5900)
    SB Audigy Gamer
    Enermax CS3051L Case w/4 Case Fans
    LG 16X DVD
    LG 48x24x48 CD-RW
    AOpen 10/100Mbps LAN
    Windows XP Pro with SP1

    I was thinking about getting the following new stuff:

    ASUS A7N-8X
    512MB Kingston PC3200 DDR
    AMD AthlonXP 2500+ (Barton 333) w/Volcano 12 Cooler

    I heard I can still get unlocked Bartons, so I could run it at 3000+ speed.

    Would these upgrades make a difference?

    this is what i heard- most Bartons manufactured after week 38 are locked and can not be unlocked via the motherboard. some people have already got it. keep your current setup.
