    AMD AthlonXP 2500+

hello guys, just built a new AMD AthlonXP 2500+ with and epox 8rda+ rev 2.x Motherboard, just wondering if it's normal if i get to overclock my processor to AMD Athlon3200+ (11X200=2200 MHZ) without increasing the voltage and using a RedFox HSF ,coz if i change the FSB to 200Mhz i have no problems and runs stable, also it states that it's 3200+ having a cache of L1 128,L2 512 and it says BARTON?.BTW the color of the chip is green and it's die does not have any AMD mark or what so ever, could this be a mismarked chip?

Well, your CPU is a Barton, that's why it says so As to the die not having any printing...I never saw one...

Everthing is fine. 2500 clocks to 2.2GHz easily. As for the color this is the same colour as mine, Green with a black shiny cpu core with no AMD markings( well if you look extremely closely you'll see a tiny marking in the bottom right corner).Tilt it in the light and you will probably see it.

I'd get a better cooler, just because if your can play with your multiplier, you probably can push it further, same with the FSB. Though 55 isn't anything to get worried about, so if your keeping it at that speed, you really have nothing to worry about. If you want some recommendations, give a price range, and you'll get some good suggestions.
