    Networking a Printer and Scanner...

I've got three PC's and I'm trying to network a printer and a scanner. I guess this question breaks into a few questions.
First, is there a way I can network the scanner so that all my computers can access the scanner for use? Second, how can I network a printer so that all the computers can print on that printer?
Both my printer and scanner are USB.
    All 3 PC's are running Win2K Pro.
I have the PC's networked on a Linksys BEFSR41 Cable/DSL Router with 4 port switch.

I know I can set up one machine that has the printer and scanner connected to it, and whenever I need to print just print on that machine but I'd like to not have to do that. Same with scanning, if that's even possible. Thanks.

    1. scanner software usually requires a direct link to the scanner. Unless your scanner specifically says network compatible, I think you're stuck.

    2. for the printer, you just need to enable sharing after you install the printer on the main system. you would then install the printers as a network printer on the other computers.

Here's a good site to get you started:

There are networkable scanners, but you would already know if yours is because you would have paid many hundreds of dollars for it already.
