    Best P4 OS

For a while now I've been using XP, but for my new computer I thought about 2000. Would 2000 perform better or inferior to XP? I pretty much only play games and surf and whatnot...not much more, if that makes a difference.

No USB 2.0 without SP3 at least, I'm afraid.

Bit of a nuisance that (i dont use USB 2.0..in fact i dont even use USB 1.0, so i wouldnt know), i do know that individual USB 2.0 drivers were around for 2k for a while but MS rattled its sabre and made everyone pull them

I dont buy USB, sucks up CPU resources and generally seems to be a pain where drivers are concerned.

Pinters into the ECP port, PS/2 for the mouse and keyboard, gameport for the controllers. I used to run a cable modem from USB and that was a pain in the backside, ridiculous drivers, Windows would refuse to believe that it wasnt a turbonet modem, but have since gone Ethernet.

I think my sisters machine has a USB webcam though if thats any consolation
