    IE links open small window

Hi whenever I click a link in outlook express or internet explorer, such as on a forum, and it opens it in a new broswer window, it opens it in a small little browser window that's about 200x300 pixels, and my res on my desktop is 1152x864.

How can I make it for when it opens that new window, it's always maximized, or open to the largest it can go?

I like my windows maximized because it's easy to close them, just move the mouse to the farmost upper right corner and click and the X is there. Also it gives you the most web-browsing room.

I have my internet explorer shortcut properties set to run maximized when opened, so when I click that it opens maximized. But when I click on a link that opens in a new window, it runs small.

    Heelp

I've had this problem before. I could only fix it with an edit to the registry. The new windows open at 640x480, but it's better than nothing.

Unfortunetly 640x480 is about the size it's coming up right now, and on a 1152x864 resolution it's just a little box

I know the feeling. I'm at 1024x768 and when this problem happens I just have to deal with it. Maybe using that registry edit but with entering a different value will fix it, but I have no idea. I currently don't have the problem yet (off a fairly recent install) so I don't want to try it. Next time it happens to me I'll use that hack as is first, then once it's working that way try another value and see if that increases it. I'm sorry, I don't know/can't find any other way to do it than that.

I've just tried it and if I manually maximize the window (by dragging it not by clicking on the maximize button though...) it stays that way the following times. I closed IE and tried again and it remembered the position and size of the window. It's worth a try.

if you have just the one window open ( non-max ) then drag the up left and bottom right corners all the way to the edge of the monitor ( 99.99 % )

then close that window and maybe reboot
that should be the size they open to all the time

i just wish i could get the new windows to open maximized all the time though
