Modem Driver

Hi,
I have an "Ambient Data Fax Voice" modem and my connection to the net is very slow. My provider says I need an updated driver for my modem. In doing a search I have downloaded three drivers that I thought were the right ones and none of them worked. Someone told me that Intel now owns Ambient so I went to Intel but had no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

your ISP isn't entirely correct - they love to blame slow connections on you, your modem, your grandmother, whatever when you can't get to 40k or better

- it could your home phone lines, other phones (or fax machines) plugged into the same circuit or them - I had one ISP (years ago use cable now) that was worthless.......

the problem with the Ambient modems is they show up under alot of names - look carefully at the modem, get all the ID info off of it - printed on the card or on stickers, then go to driverguide.com and look there

Thank you all for your help! I was actually able to find one driver with the same numbers on my modem chip but it would not work properly as it kept wanting to redial. Anyway, for $20 I bought a new modem. So far so good. Again, thank you all very much.
