Here's my co-workers problem.....(system first) Soyo KT333 Dragon. Athlon 1700XP, 40Gig Maxtor, 740 ram pc 133, ATI 8500 All in Wonder. While uploading video Hi 8 Camcorder thru ATI card under the DVD format. up to 50% frames is dropped ( according to buffer loading screen) But under other formats eg...VCD, and WMV no frames are dropped. Why is this happening? I am trying to achieve DVD quality format thru my Hi 8 cam. Is this even possible with my current setup? I'm new to this and I'm trying to edit video thru my pc at the lowest cost. But I'm not sure if I even have the correct setup. Do I need anything else to achieve what I want? All replies welcomed.
