    SAITEK CYBORG 3D problems

ok im running FS2004 on my system and it works fine, the only problem is my joystick. i am using a saitek cyborg 3d digital joystick ( not the usb one, the older one, serial i think) and f*****g saitek have stopped the production for drivers of the stick under windows 2000 and XP, and im using XP. saitek recommend i choose the 6 button joystick w/POV and throttle. once i have choose it i have 2 calibrate it and once it is calibrated the small cross in the square box keeps movin even when im not touching the stick, is there any way of making the calibration perfect like it is with the drivers. or is there any where else where i can get simialar drivers so that they will work?????

OK, since you sound desperate I joined the forum just for you! You can find what you need here:

    ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/de/cyborg3d.zip

This is a registry patch that will get your old Cyborg working *almost* like it should. The exception is the hat switch will be only four-way instead of eight-way.

    Good Luck

It's a self-installing patch, so just double click it (but to be safe, back up your registry first!)

After installing there will be a Cyborg 3D device available in the joystick control panel.

I have been using it for a couple of months. It took a couple of tries to get the twist to calibrate well
