    A7N8X Deluxe Lan ports

I asked this question as a one liner in the networking forum, but it was after a very long, rambling, no paragraphs bunch of goo according to Omendata.
My question has to do with the ASUS A7N8X Deluxe motherboard.
Since there are 2 high speed Lan hook ups on this board is it possible to connect another computer (an older one that my son has) to one of the Lan ports, use the other port to connect to a cable connection, and surf the net with both pc's at the same time?
I apologize if this should be on the networking forum, but since it is a mother board issue, I decided to put it here. <moderator rolls his eyes and thinks....glad when we get these noobs trained properly...it is a network post >
Notice the paragraphs Omendata? <Omendata thinks..... arghhhh n00bs....but then if there were no n00bs here how would us techies look so techy> Thanks guys and have a good day.

Yes - that's what to use for Internet Connection Sharing:

Thats why Asus used two lan ports on this mobo. Very easy to share cable .net connection this way. No router or anything needed to network with 1 other pc and still have cable modem too! I see two lan ports being like having 6 usb ports. will become standard "EXTRA feature" after a while.

Me too, though i was running ICS for about a year without problems, its an excellent short term, cheap quick fix, though yu have to think in the long term will i save more money on a router being on 24/7 than i would on having to have th ehost computer powere don every time the client wants to use the net
