NERO BURNING QUESTION

i wanted to burn a cd with programs and drivers etc (utilities) . i burned a cd a month ago witth nero using multisession, noW i wanted to add more files in a second session , i did it. I opened up the cd but the new files were not there ,none of the added files! . Is theere a special way to add the files ? options? settings on Nero? ThaNX

Can you see the old files though?

Plus, this may sound silly, but I've done it before: Make sure you select "Burn" or "Test and Burn" instead of test?

Otherwise perhaps, try creating another multisession on the disc.

I USED A CD-R , i CAn see the old files but nothing new.. i can even see that the disk was burned phisically..........

Are you saying you burned the CD originally as a Multisession disk, you re-opened the multisession (how?) and burned some more stuff which hasn't appeared on the CD when you look at it through say My Computer?

yea i did add more stuff to it. i never closed the cd(finalized). The first sessiom was only 40mb. the 2nd session was about 25mB.

**** it!~ i did burn sessions before on cd-rw and they work, i dont know what is the deal with cd-r and multissesions!

Nero (and other CD burning software) can lead to some confusion on multisessions and I have had that same thing happen to me when I forst started burning. Be very wary of saving the ISO image when Nero offers to do it (e.g., after your first session). When it burns a new session you may find the equivlaent of shortcuts (or nothing) but no files. Simply stay on the safe side and be sure to begin with "start multisession disc" and check it after burning. Next, be sure to choose "continue multisession", (then press the "new" button, strange as that may seem), make sure it checks the burnt CD and asks you to confirm which track/session you are adding on to. Then drag your files into the lefthand window and say burn. This time you will be OK. (I always recommend that people use a CD-RW at first and use that to explore how Nero works before doing "real" work with it - and wasting CDRs.

Maybe you should just be using the wizard thing that pops up when nero starts so as to avoid future confusion.
