    Does it crash at anyother time?
    In what manner does it crash?
    What size power supply are you using?

    To start with, make sure your phone line is not plugged into the LAN port. Run any modem installation software before you try to install any new device and don't say yes to any dialog that you are not absolutely sure of the answer. You can always cancel and try again with the right answer when you figure it out.

    It crashes when i tried to install the motorola sm56 drivers after it finishes installing it craches. (now i've returned that modem)
    Whwn i tried the ageere (i returened that one too) it did not crash but it wodent conect and the lamaqq (i have that modem for about a week until i exchange it for a us robotics) crashed just after it finished dialing.
    I'm using an Antec case with a TruePower 350W PSU

    First of all, check Task Manager to make sure some other program really isn't already dialing out.
    There are two other likely causes ffor this;
    1) Your "telephon.ini" file (C:\Windows) is missing or corrupt.
    2) The registry may be corrupt. Check"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Window s\Current Version\ Telephony\Providers\"
    There should be a String Value called "ProviderFilename0" with value of "TSP3216L.TSP" If not you will have to create it.

    Here are a few sites that will be able to help you out with these issues.

    http://www.modemsite.com/56k/duns633.asp
    http://www.vee90.net/dunerrors_633.html

    On second thought, check Device Manager to make sure you don't have any conflicts.

    Bon chance!
