Help! W2k and gforce3 dont work together

Ok, I just got my new system installed, epox 8k7a, amd tbird 1.33ghz 266fsb, 512 DDR ram, gforce3 and the rest is standard.

Anyways, everything in installing was doing fine, until i restarted windows 2000 pro after installing my geforce3 drivers.

Now, as windows 2000 boot, right after it got to the end of starting windows 2000, screen flashes once, twices, then everything is black, I cant restart computer, screen doesnt say it doesnt receve signal, but still shows nothing. I can only access w2k from safe mode. I dont know what to do!

Did you load the correct Detonator driver? As in the driver for Win 2k, or accidentally use the one for Win 9x.

Reboot into safe mode, change the driver back to standard pci, then reboot normally.

The drivers for Win 2k and Win 9x are just a little different.

Also, this should be posted in the video card section.
