dosen't matter if it's atx or at (of course if it's an atx case you'll WANT an atx board) as long as it has the appropriate slot (PCI or AGP) for whatever type card you buy. actually after re-reading your question are you asking about BRANDS of devices or actuall PHYSICAL devices???

Any pci card or isa card will fit in its appropriate slot. Stay clear of ISA unless you already have one, can be real pain in ****, espacially old ones. Sometimes these dont fit in the bottom slot real good either.

If buying a new mobo the only real problem you might have could be AGP, some of the new mobos dont support the older AGP cards. Keep an eye on specs when buying.

you need alot more help than an answer or two about atx mobos and cases you'll find a step by step outline

    here

goog luck and happy building - if you proceed carefully, follow each step in order, you'll usually have just a problem or two that you can post back with, and we get you there in short order

....do lot's of research....I've never even had a hiccup with a clean build that I started from scratch even if old cards as I checked it out first...if you know the hardware you'e going to usedownload the newest drivers and use them first.....check the reviews on whatever you're going to use & see if there's anything you should know and you'll be fine!!!!!!!!!!!
