New IDE HD

hi guys im currently running a 30GB 7200RPM Seagate Barracuda, and im looking for a good priced 120GB 7200RPM Hard drive. 1 dollar/gb would be great but i want a really good performer also.
150$ would probably be my maximum.

Asus a7n8x Deluxe
amd 2500+ barton
512MB DDR400 Kingston
BBA ATI radeon 9600PRO 128mb

im also wondering if i get a new 120 gb hard drive would it be better to do a clean install and install the OS onto my 120 GB and then use the 40 as a.........extra drive?

Whatever you get, just copy the old drive to the new one and switch positions to boot from new. You can use Ghost, Drive Image or the drive maker's software to copy the drive.

Reinstallation is not necessary.
