light gaming mp3 storage and internet surfing computer for 500 bucks

I would like to build a computer for the above uses....It would need a good sized hdd atleast 60gigs.....or more depending....40 is ok if 60 cannot fit into the budget. Video card does not have to be something special.

    Thanks!

Easy. Go to Fry's and pick up an ECS K7S5A Pro and 2200+ for $79. Pick up an Antec "Solution Series" case and a 258MB stick of DDR333 - preferrably Crucial. If the OS will be Win2k/XP get two sticks or one 512MB stick.

Pop in a $35 Lite-On DVD drive, a $10 Mitsumi floppy drive and a Maxtor Diamond Plus 9 60GB drive.

    Now all you need is a $15 modem and a $50 GeForce4 MX440.

    That's about $400 for parts.

There are no cheap flat screens. Go to Sam's Club and buy what they have. You can get a 17" Samtron for less than $120 and a 19" for less than $200.
