    netfinity 3500

does any one have this computer or know about the fan inside of it.

Im not sure what kind of fan it is but its pretty big and even though i have left my computer on for 2 months straight, without shutting it off, it still has kept my computer nice and cool.

I was wondering if it would work on an athlon xp 2500+ or a pentium 4.

    System:
    Pentium 2 266mhz
    SCSI Hard drive 8.0 GB
Im not sure what kind of motherboard or power supply it is but it is made by IBM and this case is slightly bigger than a mid tower case (by about 3-5 inches)

I dont know if this would help but this is what it looks like: the case is black, there are 3 green lights on the top front, and there is a button on the top (only one button to turn it on)

I will search for a picture on this a bit later.

I have a netfinity server (in production use) so I can not open it up. I am not sure what type of fan it is even though I do know what you are talking about.

I would powerdown your server and look at the fan information after removing it from the case or I would look on IBM's website and see if you can find the part information.

BTW: Our server has been in production use with one failure (NIC) in over three years. That is only since I have been here. I do not know how long the system was here before I was hired.

Here is a link to the parts list:
