no background colors in iexplorer 6.0
i had some different troubles on two different drives which could not be solved with system recovery. i have tried to make a new setup(over the old one). when i recognized suwin-errors at 65% several times after having made changes(exchanged cdrom-, drive etc. i decided to format.
i would like to avoid this and try to repair for the second drive.
one strange thing happend when i connected one drive to a second pc-system. keep in mind, the two mentioned drive belong to one identical pc, but did not run at the same time. when one drive was running at this second pc, iexplorer had immediately been infected. all drives had been scanned and defrag was running before having made further steps.

In order to reinstall Me, it may be necessary to restore IE5.5 if you have upgraded to 6.0 and also restore WMP7 if you have upgraded to WMP9.
SEE HERE
As for the RAM posting only 50% (as noted in your previous post) that is because it is high density RAM and your Slot 1 board uses low density RAM. The 256MB module that you are using obviously only has 8 chips on it. The low density modules appropriate to your board will have 16 chips. It does no harm when installed in your board but will be more usefull when you upgrade your motherboard, at which time it will post 100%.

maybe there is a second thread in this forum asking for help concerning lacking frames. THIS IS AN ERROR. BACKGROUND COLOR IS LACKING!
i received the same tip from germany, maybe with two different ways. i tried out one of them and i could not enter windows me anymore. naked white and sometimes blue-screen. i will try your solution out and hope i can use new ie 6 amd wmp 9 again.

i checked the link and i saw a known error!
when i had no more chance solving the problem i tried to reinstall winme over the old one. then this verx.dll-error was seen together with suwin. i double-checked every device. at the end it was a wrong entry in the ram-settings in cmos-setup(bios). its now set to normal and i will check technical details of sdram with motherboard-monitor.
apropos: bios- how can i save the bios-settings? bios-agent can only display them.
