setting up own server w/ mail-what program to use?

I'm considering getting an ISDN connection w/ static IP and moving my two websites to an 'older' computer in my office. the connection is a 1000k/128k (no quicker upload options available at my distance fm the station).

I have winXP Pro on the computer and a 2nd partition for the info to reside on.

    1. what program should I use-is WINXPPRO ok?

    2. tips/hints on setting up a mail server? I have absolutally no experience setting up mail server stuff-is it a separate program?

    3. should I set the 2nd partition up as NTSF (not sure if that's the correct anacronym) or FAT32? I want safety as well-

if anyone has recommendations-I would love to hear them. I have a wireless access point router currently, I know I'll need a ISDN modem-recommendations?

    thanks,
    Paul
