    reinstalling media player

    is there any way to reinstall windows media player 8 besides reinstalling windows xp totally.

    Actually a reinstall would probably work if your having other problems as well, put in the cd choose install and it will recommend upgrade choose that, giving you a better working registry and new player.

    or

    go to windows explorer/windows folder to the inf folder rite clik wmp.inf and you should get an install option, have your xp cd handy.
