Fellows-I want to thank all of you for your help. I did try everything here, new mouse, new keyboard, etc, etc. to no avail. I had previously e-mailed Microtek before going to this URL but apparently they do not care to respond. SO; I will just dump this and get a new scanner; you may be sure it wouldn't be a Microtek. As a parting gesture perhaps you can recommend a good scanner; something that will work with my version 8 OmniPage OCR, and doesn't require loading drivers in Safe Mode.
