xbox through my pc ?
any one know how/if i can play my xbox through my pc?
I have an all in wonder 9700 pro which has svideo in, and right and left in so i can hook it up. im jsut not sure how to play it. there must be some sorta program out there
I may sound like an idiot for posting this but i dont care

Mobo - Epox 8RDA+
RAM - 256megs of crucial pc2700
Gfx card - Ati aiw 9700 pro
PSU - Enermax 350watt
sound - onboard
lan - onboard
HD - 80 gig 5400rpm

If the card originally came in retail box, you got ATi's viewer software on the CD that came with it.

Of course. Video game consoles are just like any other kind of device that emits a video signal. The video-in port doesn't care where that comes from, whether it's a camera, a VCR, a DVD, a video game console or whatever else you come up with.

whats the exact name of the software? is it pinnacle studio ?
:edit: got it working now but i cant get audio to work. also do you know of better software to do this with? (im thinking of a media player type program) playing xbox in pinnacle studio is kinda like playing a dvd in adobe photoshop :edit:

you know u can actually play xbox online for free too
forgot the link u have to download a program
so maybe u can play ure xbox on ure computer + online for free
(my cousin plays halo online for free with comp)

ya the program is gamespy arcade tunnel im pretty sure. ive known about it for awhile but im to lazzy to set it up

You need to connect the audio signal too - into the soundcard's Line-In - and enable the Line-In in the mixer applet.
Viewing the video source is best done in the viewer application that hopefully came with that video card. Else look whether things like MediaPlayer support that input.

install and use the ATI player that came with the card. do as peter says with the line in cord
i repeat this because i have an old all-in-wonder and i use it all the time to play nintendo 64 games on an extra pc. works wonderful
thier great cards to play with, im trying to find me a newer one. my old one only has 8 mb

i have the card connected to the mic. i know it works cuz i watch tv on my pc.
as for ati fileplayer, i havent been able to get it to work in there at all. don't see how i could get it to work.
