    How come?

    How come you guys are buying new cpu's all the time? Do your cpu blow up very often?

    I don't get to buy new one very often. Mine annoyingly works for years if I leave it alone

    i have to side with user0209 here. I bought my Athlon XP 2000 earlier 2003 and haven't upgraded yet. I'll keep it as logn as it works and even after it dies. I don't upgrade becasue the newest thing is out. I upgrade when needed and have decided to build a new comp altogether because of certain dissatisfactions with current rig.

    Overclockers are just smarter when it comes to purchasing cpu's. We buy the hottest overclocking chips for less than $100 clock em to blow the doors off the $600 chips and when we tire of them we sell them for what we paid.

    I bought my Athlon 1700XP back in April 2002 it still fast. I think i can use for 2more year since i don't play much game only CS, & Warcraft 3.

    if ne one in here buys a new proc to replace a fully working recent cpu, theyre buying sumtin better eg a JIUHB1700 over a pally1900
