make sure it's not shorting out in the case / under the board

try it with the bare minimum - board / cpu /mem / video / keyboard

does the cpu fan hook to the motherboard or to the power supply
is it a quiet slow type ??
does it come on - even for a sec at the start ??

Abit's always use the Delete key to get into the BIOS.

The Insert key is used to reset the BIOS to factory defaults.
