    J.M.! More classic thread destruction!

cbh - looks like it's related to the X-29 FSW, but I'm not sure; it looks a little different.

I dunno. Your aircraft is built around the same concept but having elevators at the rear seems rather pointless when front canards both provide more lift and are more responsive. I assume, however, that it, just like the X-29 pictured above, uses some kind of composite material to prevent the wing from snapping off in flight and a highly calibrated fly-by-wire system to actually keep the thing airborne...

mmm...I've seen that in an Anime somewhere before...not robotech, the Veritechs have a flying-wing design (sorta) and they also turn into a mech.

Maybe Macross plus? (Yeah, I know its still Robotech, but the two series are completely different, much like the two parts of this thread)

sorta like this one...and hey, I wouldn't mind having one of these either mind you

I downloaded it from a website and it's kinda strange.

    Here's another one, though!

    Hehehehehehe...

You are very close, pal! Just a bit more of guessing and you'll get it.

Look at the second pic that I have put up. This type of aircraft is quite strange to me too!

I hate guessing. So if its not Robotech, Macross 2 or Macross Plus, its another Anime Shoot-em-up, and I'm *trying* to remember other shoot-em-ups

can almost see the logo on that, can't remember what its from

hmmmmmmmmmm...I give up, whats it from?

Actually, it's from the latest Japanese anime series of 5 episodes. It's called Sentou Yousei Yukikaze.

    The story:

The near future. An alien race called the JAM invaded Earth by using a dimensional gateway that opened up at Antarctica. That gateway looks like a cloud mushroom to me! After several years of intense warfare, the humans managed to push the invaders back into the gateway and continue the war on another planet called Fairy. It's rumoured that Fairy is the JAM's homeworld but nobody can be sure.

The alien forces use strange aircraft to fight the human forces and these fighters can emerge out of the ground swiftly. They're like super-sonic missiles blasting from the ground. In order to counter the alien fighters jets, the Fairy Air Force (FAF) invented the several types of advanced aircraft.

The anime series are great to watch because they are comprised of intense air battles (Similar to Top Gun) and military politics. One of the human fighters is called Yukikaze and it's an AI-controlled aircraft. Interesting, huh?

Note: You can find the first two episodes on Kazza Lite.

The following is a JAM fighter jet. Disgusting!!
