    Playing MVI movie clips

I have a Canon camera that takes mvi.avi movie clips. I have not been able to play them with the Windows Media Player or other player OTHER than QuickTime, which I would rather not use.
Does anyone know what codecs I need to enable the Windows Media Player (under windows 2000) to play mvi.aiv movies?

Didn't the Canon come with some software and/or did you go to their site?

....and is Quicktime installed as your default viewer?

and I seem to recall you divx codecs too - try a google search?
