    Aznmask...
Thanks for the link. I use New Balance 1121's (got a wide foot). Need motion control: chondromalacia plus tendancy toward plantar fasciitus, and other issues. Coming off of a 'scoping last Wednesday (MMT and trimming away of a plical band). Normal mileage is 20-25/week.

They (your link) have the new version, the 1122's for a decent price, but I'm pretty sure I can do same/maybe better through RoadRunnerSports.com.

Didn't see any info on shipping charges... did you?

    Thanks for the extra source

    Aznmask,
I would really hesitate to recommend a low cost shoe... I've had problems running in cheap shoes. They just didn't offer the support and cushioning you need if you are going to put on many miles... espcially if you do your running on blacktop, or worse, concrete.

One suggestion, though, is go to a running/athletics shoe store wearing a pair of your current running shoes. They will show your wear pattern so a knowledgable salesperson can see if you are nuetral, over-pronate or under-pronate. Also, your size/weight will determine if you need a more heavily cushioned shoe. At the very least, the salesperson can show you what kind of shoe is right for you, and then you can shop for the model/best price that meets your feet's needs.

Don't skimp, it will eventually come back to hurt you.

Ah the classics never die....go retro doood! Get some good old fashioned converse chuck taylor all stars! There are inexpensive, and people notice em too. I have a pair of the flaming converse (see pic)...the only shoe I have EVER received compliments on in my life...happens all the time, everywhere I go! The women like em, skate punks want them, hell even some French dude at the grocery store followed me around for awhile and got his intrpreter/girlfriend to ask me where I got em from. Flaming foot French fool hehe haha.

By the way, how do you put a picture in your post so people see it rather than clicking on the link?

Yeah, and if I lived where you live, I'd wear nothing but slippers, too

Your grass skirt wouldn't cut Chicago in January, though
