    New 2100 Tbred B overclocked to>>>

I got my new AIUHB 307 2100+ from newegg. I've been trying to do a slow burn on it since Friday. It seems to be stable at 2300 actual mhzzzzzzzzzzzz's for normal tasks and a little gaming. But, I have to pump so much juice to it that it won't run Prime or Sandra Burn-in for much more than an hour w/out crashing.

I put my Jet 8000rpm engine on it for a while to get it under 50C idle and it ran only 54C full load. But... I just couldn't handle that screamin fan anymore. That's why it's been collecting dust on my workbench lately.

SO...right now I'm idling at 2V and 54C and hitting over 64C running NFSHP2. heheheh Maybe I ought give that thing a lap dance? I am gonna pull it off and recheck the grease job.

Too hot you say? I've changed my thinking on that since I got this 8RDA. My old Pally would say 30C on my Iwill KK266 and read 53C on this thing. There are a couple of great debates on temps going on over at AOA:

It's some elcheapo Cooler Master w/ a 5000rpm. fan. I just put a fan on my Northbridge and am actually running about 5C cooler. Maybe that Northbridge was heating up my cpu too. Also put a fan blowing on the mosfets so that's helping the cpu too. Trying for 200fsb stable. We'll just have to wait and see how long she holds here. I've got my fingers crossed.

I doubt an all aluminum cheapo Coolermaster is enough for an overclocked Tbred. Get something better, like a Thermalright SK-7 or SLK-800U.

Esp. not at 2v. I'd also say go for an SLK series with a mid-speed 92mm fan.

Consider 2vcore thermal characteristics as one and a half T-breds pumping out heat for you.

A bios flash done wonders. Temps are down and stable as all hell @ 11.5x200=2300mhzzzzzzzzzz's. I also got the core v. down to 1.95v. Not hitting over 54C now full bore on the Need for Speed o meter.

She's clocked and rocked now! We're kickin *** and takin' no prisoners...

You know... this will sound weird... but, I was kinda disappointed that I didn't get a 2100 that would hit higher. But, wtf, how can I b*tch about a 600mhz overclock?

Don't complain. I decided to build another computer for OC purpuses. I bought a tbre 1700 from newegg and ended up with an A chip. I have the chip at 1852.5 - (195FSB x 9.5 multi). I maybe able to get alittle more out of it, but not much.

    Oh well

Nice setup. How's the TC-4 working for you? What pump are you using?

You might want to make a shroud for that heatercore.

Oh yeah, I remember you from the overclockers forum.

I got a Mag 5, WW and Chevy Caprice core w/2 120mm Deltas myself.

nice oc i bought my self a 2100 but your temps are REALLY high! mine are around 32idle to 38-39 load with only a 1.85v core you're really killing your processor lol and mines at 2.23 (179x12.5)

YO GP this summer, we should get together and rig my system up with water coolin' (fans drivin me nuts but i prolly wont be able to sleep w/out it) lol

I don't worry about the temps anymore. What reads 50C on one board will read 30C on another, w/ the same **** chip and hs/f.

And, if it dies on me before I replace it, it will be long overdue for an upgrade.
