    asus p4s266vx

    hi need some info on a motherboard asustek p4s266vx it was instaled in a sony vaio rx-752. But can not fined any information on it any where. please help

    You won't unless you get it from Sony. It's a proprietary motherboard made by Asus for them alone.

    thanks bipolarbill thats what I thought. Can you recomand a good motherboard for intel cpu.

    That depends on the form factor. Full ATX boards have 5-6 PCI slots. Micro-ATX (mATX) boards have only two or three.

    Which CPU do you have?

    1024 megaherts ram pc 2100 ddr266
    maxtor 120 gb 7200rpm

    Um, how BIG is the motherboard? You'll have to open it up. Count the expansion slots in the back - inside. Don't read me your manual!

    it's the first one with extra the small brown pci slot and an extra dimm slot

    Well, we need to know the type of RAM now. Tell you what - use Aida32 to determine motherboard model and memory (SPD) type:

    We've already discussed this. I can't get any information on it that board. I don't know if it uses RDRAM or DDR RAM.
