    Why...don't...they...anymore?

    Why don't mobo manufacturere put heatsinks on voltage regulators any more...Those mini Heatsinks saved a lot of my boards although they are dead not. I think that these voltage regulators get warmer than alot of processor becuase they are constantly working to keep your other parts from burning up...

    tryin' to save money every way they can, (plus it speeds up repeat buys. i mean, hey, we can't have products that last forever now, can we?) sad but true on many things anymore....

    I agree with smiley, they are getting cheap and want more business, however, you can buy heatsinks for the small chips and regulators that come with a thermal adhesive from many catalog and online computer sites, look around.
