Juniormito:
I need help i know that you can help me what card should I buy
VGA GAINWARD, Ultra/800 "GS"
ASUS AGP-V9900TD
ATI RADEON 9700
Not sure about the Gainward, I think it is a FX5800. The Asus is, I think, also an FX5800 or maybe 5900. If the ATI card is the PRO version, that is the one I'd get, but that is me. Depends on your financial situation.

I would go with the ATI 9700 or 9700Pro(or 9800 or 9800Pro). Depending on what you can afford. I have not seen any write ups on the 5900, which is the only card that would equal or best the above ATI cards. --RH--

on a budget get a 9700 non pro if you can get hold of one as they can clock to 9700 pro speeds.... if you have the mmoney get the 9700 pro as these can be overclocked like a true beast....
i'm assuming u dont have endless money, but if u can afford it I would personally get the 9800 pro... almost on par with the 5900 on benchmarking, but is more of an all-round card, doesn't require too much space like teh 5900 and is quieter.

Just two quick questions
Okies, got my new rig, basic specs are
p4 2.8/800fsb, 512 meg ram, Radeon 9700 pro
I got about 3500 in 3dmark 2003, and for some reason it's not running the last test, says hardware not supported. I've got directx 9 installed, and the latest video drivers. Any idea why it's doing this?
Also, (this could be related somehow) when I go to run 3dmark 2001, it says I need directx 8.1, when I have directx 9 installed. I'm pretty **** certain I've got directx 9 installed. Anyone know why?

Mr Snuffle
Hit start/run/type in dxdiag, and check the information on directx, it will tell you version you have, and if any problems.
Did you go to ATI and download the latest drivers?? You should be getting a much better score with that hardware. --RH--

money in yer wallet is wasted money, give those three dollars away, or buy a popsicle. Don't want anything in the way of your benchmarking.
