how do i remove thermal pad

Fitted my h/sink using a thermal pad about 3 months ago . How do i go about removing all traces of it before I apply some arctic silver.

Not very easily if its been melted on. If you got long nails or a razor blade try usign that otherwise use some of the removal chemicals listed at:

i always use boiling water to wash off the pad/paste.
but remember to take of the fan before splashing boiling water on it.

dont be so **** cheap !! water might damage it. Use Rubbing Alchohol to wash off the pad/paste.

Also.. If you still have some lingering remnants on the HS. Lap it a tad. (Sand it on a high grit paper, on glass). Look up the lapping technique if you aren't sure.
