    Windows Registry Cleaner

Windows has encountered and error accessing the registry.

Windows will repair the registry for you and restart the computer.

I already tried restarting the computer but it keeps showing up.

What OS do you have. I have recieved this error with Windows 95 and had to format and reinstall to fix it. I tried to install by just delteing the Windows Directory and Program Files directories and it kept happening after the first few reboots.

If this is 9x disable the registry scan in msconfig/startup tab see if it reports, you don't say what OS your using.

You can also boot from the WinME Startup disk and type:

    SCANREG /RESTORE

Select a version that predates the issue.

As bill said could be bad mem which would be my next call if the problem keeps repeating itself after a few diagnostics.

Have you tested your memory or are you just typing? Have you tried SCANREG /RESTORE or are we wasting time? If you don't give us feedback, we won't know what to suggest, will we?

If the above fail, reinstall Windows.
