Win 2000 and cable modems..
What are the system requirements for a cable modem ??
Is there a way to optimize Windows 2000 for faster internet connections with a cable modem? According to my ISP I have surpassed their requirements to have a cable modem, however this connection is slow... just wondering if running Windows 2000 is the bottleneck ??

How is the modem connected to your PC - USB or RJ-45?

The cable modem is connected via RJ-45cable to a 10/100 NIC.

Are you sure you're using a standard patch cable? A crossover may work, but slowly.
