Find
Running Win98SE
I've lost the 'find' option from the My Computer right click menu. It also fails to operate from within the My Computer folder, instead reporting that I need to associate a program. If I explore a drive or use the start menu, it functions okay! I'm not sure when and how this occured as the machine is used mainly for mail collection and serving my printer. Comparisons with my 'main' comp don't really give me any clues as to what is missing. Anyone know where in the registry I need to go to re-instate the correct parameters to revive it?

Instead of right-clicking, try pressing the F3 key when you're in a folder you want to search. Hmmm....nice!
I'm afraid that you need to reinstall Windows to fix that. Just reinstall over this setup and you won't lose anything.

There are plenty of replacemnt apps for the default find that comes with windows. I picked one up once that came with a litestep distro that I use to this day. Its basically a stripped down version of the MS one. Its called simply enough find.exe. If you can't find it, let me know. Perhaps I can email it to you or provide you with a download link.
