    ***computer keeps randomly going into stand by***

    i will be working on the computer then all of a sundden the computer will go into standby mode. i already went into the power managment and set standby to never

    my specs are
    amd 1600
    gigabyte mb
    geforce 4 ti4200
    w89 se

    How do you know it's Standby?

    You may have a key sequence set in BIOS for entering Standby. Go into BIOS setup and disab;e all that you can in the Power section.
