even if the case is open?
if it is dont worry, your motherboard propably reads the temperatures to high (it varies between motherboards). if it doesnt crash your temps arent to high
my mobo temp is idle at 52C, because Abit made a design mistake, they put a
near the sensor making the readings way to high.
that took me ages to find out on the internet cause i wasnt the only one wondering whats wrong ......... somebody email abit asking whats wrong and they replied saying that.
oh abit max2 motherboard, the best one and a design mistake lol
its really good though

with the case open it drobs only a few degrees, I have put her in a new alumnium case and got the same results. it runs smooth it just reads high temps in my cmos and the asus probe.

The motherboard temp is definatly inaccurate... There is no way that the board would run hotter than the cpu with regular air cooling.
