    How do I over-clock my P4 2.0?

I don't really know anything about over-clocking, so I was wondering if someone could give me instructions or point me to an article about how to over-clock my P4 2.0 processor.

I would also need to know what I need to buy to keep the processor cool, because I've heard a number of ways to go about this, but I don't know which ones are best and most cost-effective.

So any help anyone could give me would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

    -Pat

What P4 is it? A 2.0 willamette or 2.0A northwood? The former will only reach about 2.3-2.4, but the latter can achieve 3GHz sometimes.

The motherboard model and make would help as well.

WCPUID (at http://www.h-oda.com ) can help you identify the CPU, and AIDA32 can tell you exactly what it is.

Yes a Northwood is better, smaller die, more cache, better overclocking ect.
