video driver installation question win98se

This one i cant figure out.
With all my others video cards, everything was installing and working ok.
Now since this GF4 there are a few weird things.
The first noticeable one is at power up, usually you can see on the monitor ex: creative geforce 3 or what ever 64 megs" and then the post, with the type of cpu, its speed, and the amount of ram installed...
But not with that one... it never shows. I know its not that important, but its not supposed, i guess.
Next is in the detonator drivers, in the advanced tab, you should see "viewsonic xxx on nvidia gf4", "not unknown monitor on gf4"
i dont have the monitor tab also..
My monitor is well identified in device manager.
Also when i install a new driver,with this card, it needs more than a reboot to be able to set the resolution and color (bits)

Well...
Try to install plug'n'play driver for your monitor. Then download lates drivers for your monitors. I guess mostly not all cards can recognize monitors. And definetly download the latest version of nVidia Detonator drivers, DirectX.
