Losing 2nd hard drive
This has been going on intermittently for months now and I just can't figure it out. Periodically, my secondary master HD (60GB) "powers down" though I can't figure out how in the world to keep it from doing this. Because when it does, it sometimes can't come back up. The system issues two quick beeps and usually locks up to the point where a soft re-boot does not work, only a reset. It's hard to say if a particular app is causing it, but it does crash often while WinMX is running, probably because WinMX accesses that drive and if it's asleep and WinMX asks it to wake up, it can't and therefore will lock everything up.
I have tried removing and re-inserting the Ultra ATA-100 card, switching IDE cables, making sure the drive had a dedicated power cable (not connected as a slave to my primary HD) and nothing seems to change. Any thoughts on this one?

Mod w/ an attitude
Check all of the power control settings (standby, shutdown, hibernation, etc).
