Preferably as compact as I can get it Bill. Thanks Thor we're looking at that. Forced Induction means superchargers/turbochargers etc.

Thats the only one i could find, but its AC

How do you feel about a inverter and using those creative wiring skills of yours

Is this forced induction system for a vehicle?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but a centrifugal fan isn't powerful enough to provide any meanful levels of boost to an automobile engine.

You need something like a roots blower or a turbine to make real boost.

Looks like where going to experiment with a blower motor (possibly a leaf blower ) combined with a ram air solution. Thx for the HELPFUL replies.

The leaf blower idea is better, but I'm still not sure if that will make a huge increase.

If you haven't done any of these mods yet, do them:

Low restriction intake and filter (i think you know about this)

Low restriction exhaust system, including headers or a ported exhaust manifold

    New spark plugs

    Underdrive pulleys

Only then should you worry about pseudo forced induction.

well, what is it going to be used for?

if you got 30bucks to 50 to dish out, get a Toro Electric Leaf Blower. it's AC, but heck, it's good

or you can get a small compressor and charge it up

but my recomendation if it's going to be DC used, my best bet is a blower that uses a drum fan, or a turbine fan, but the turbine can get pricey.

Ahhh, but thats why you have centrifugal superchargers... basically a belt drivin turbine instead of an exhaust drivin turbine like a turbo... And centrifugal superchargers produce a lot less heat than roots style blowers.

Roots blowers aren't as efficient, but they make better boost at low rpms than centrifugal turbines do. I still think exhaust driven turbines (turbochargers) are best.

We've been tinkering with a Camaro (mine) Porsche 928 (my friend's and a GD nice ride!!!!) and an Eagle Talon 2liter DOHC (other friends). I have a V6 Camaro :-( and when it was purchased I expected it to be a slow POS. Hehe luckily I was wrong! It will lay some rubber. Granted it's not an LT1 350cc engine BUT it's still fun to drive. (I don't particularly need to be wrapping it around a tree, which I'm sure I'd do with about 300HP)
