Trojan Horse Keeps coming back!
Hello,
I have a small problem with a trojan that keeps coming back for some strange and wacky reason.
spool64.dll - backorfice2000 (Inacolate IT keeps finding it and deleteing it(also it only comes back after i reinstall windows not when i like restart or sumthing)
also i find it on startup in MSCONFIG.
but everytime i reinstall windows (AND FORMATTED!) its back! I have a thought thats its implanted in my memory or something
specs:
AMD athlon 1000@1200
asus A7V
IBM 75GXP 30GB 7200RPM
IBM 75GXP 60GB 7200RPM
256MB mushkin memory 2-2-2
350watt PS
OEM soundBlaster Sound Card
ATI rage fury 32MB Video Card
is there a way to fix this?
thanks,

I think it's too big to fit on a boot disk in addition to the other files. I could be wrong, I'll check the size when I get to my second system.
Another explanation would be that your unknowingly re-infecting your system by re-installing something that contains the trojan.
Try downloading "The Cleaner" and do a thorough scan of all files. http://www.moosoft.com/
If you do think it is somehow staying in memory, then you could format with a known good boot disk that has been write protected, then after the format turn your system compleatly off for a couple minutes to clear everything out of the RAM.
Best of luck,
Dave
